Adult Basic Education

The upgrading program helps students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to be successful in employment situations and in further programs, (Vocational, Career/Technical or Academic training). It is individualized to meet your needs! Students can upgrade to prepare for the Provincial Adult Graduation Diploma.

Flexible Access Schedule
For full or part-time students, our program offers a flexible timetable to meet individual needs and abilities. Classes can fit into students work and personal schedule:

Monday-Wednesday, Friday: 9am-12pm
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1-3pm
Tuesday: 6-8:30pm

Student Fees:
Please refer to the tuition and fees calculator on the college website. If cost is an issue for you, ask about an Adult Upgrading Grant (AUG), to see if you are eligible.

Fundamental 010, 020, 030, 040, 050 and 060 (Math and English)
The Fundamental Level at College of the Rockies is designed to provide adult students with the reading, writing and math skills necessary for achieving personal, work and education goals. The completion of the Math and Communications components of the program, will allow the students to continue in the intermediate level courses.

Intermediate 070 (Math and English)
This program is for adult students who require a Grade 10 academic standing.

Advanced 080 (Math, English, Biology and Chemistry)
This program is for adult students who require a Grade 11 academic standing.

Provincial 090 (English, Biology, Psychology, Ed and Career Planning, College Success and Work Experience)
This program is for adult students who require a Grade 12 academic standing (Adult Graduation Diploma).
