2010/11 Entrance Scholarships and Awards

The COTR 2010/2011 Entrance Awards Program offers awards ranging from $250 tuition award to Two Year full tuition scholarships. Thousands of dollars of Entrance Awards are available to applicants entering full-time programs at College of the Rockies.

East Kootenay Scholastic Distinction Entrance Scholarship

Application Deadline: March 31, 2011

The East Kootenay Scholastic Distinction Entrance Scholarships recognizes the TOP ACADEMIC students from across the East Kootenays.  Among the most valuable and prestigious scholarships awarded by the College of the Rockies is open to first-year students entering an eligible full-time program.  The Scholastic Distinction Entrance Scholarship offers up to a FULL TWO YEAR TUITION SCHOLARSHIP available to East Kootenay Secondary School graduates with the TOP Grade 11 and Grade 12 award average of 85% or higher.

Eligibility and How to Apply

Students must apply for Scholastic Distinction Scholarships;

1. Download the East Kootenay Scholastic Distinction Entrance Scholarship Application form (388kb);
2. Submit your completed application and an interim statement of Secondary School grades from Grade 11 and 12 or a Secondary School transcript of your marks, to the College of the Rockies, Financial Assistance and Awards office by March 31, 2011.

Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship

Application Deadline: March 31, 2011

The Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarships are open to first-year students entering an eligible full-time program at College of the Rockies.  Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarships ranging from $1,000 TUITION to ONE YEAR FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP, are available to Secondary School graduates with Grade 11 and Grade 12 award average of 75% or higher.

Eligibility and How to Apply

1. Download the Academic Excellence Entrance Scholarship Application form (397kb)
2. Submit completed form, and interim statement of Secondary School grades from Grade 11 and 12 (or a Secondary School transcript containing completed and in progress courses), to the College of the Rockies, Financial Assistance and Awards office by March 31, 2011. 

Tembec Industries Inc./Rotary Club of Cranbrook Entrance Scholarship

Application Deadline: March 12, 2010

The Tembec Industries Inc./Rotary Club of Cranbrook Entrance Scholarship offers students entering first or second level of an approved Apprenticeship Trades Training program; Electrician, Millwright, Heavy Duty Mechanic, Planer Mill Technician, or Welding; a $1,000 tuition scholarship to a Mount Baker Secondary School graduate. Assessments for awards are considered on the student's academic merit, performance, and reference form from an instructor or employer that identifies the student's potential for program completion.
