Fire Management Diploma
PROGRAM DESIGN
The Fire Management Diploma enables fire service workers to progress in their career. It builds on the technical and operational firefighting competencies of the certificate level and adds administrative, managerial and leadership skills and abilities essential for 'officer' roles in the fire and emergency services.
It is designed for fire service personnel aspiring to, or currently holding, junior or middle officer positions. This diploma program provides an integrated educational experience, combining specific fire-related skill development, generic emergency response training, foundational supervisory skills and career planning. Graduates also complete several business and academic courses that help provide the conceptual bases for the specific supervisory skills included in the administrative portion of officer training.
