Fire Training Certificate
PROGRAM DESIGN
The certificate program helps prepare students for entry-level positions as structural Firefighters, Wildland Fire Suppression Workers and Industrial Safety Officers/Firefighters. The certificate program is designed to develop both a theoretical foundation and the practical skills necessary to meet the challenges and risks of demanding fire response occupations.
Much of the training in this program is accomplished through hands-on activities and practice of fire safety and emergency response-related skills. Students experience the day-to-day tasks of working in and maintaining a municipal fire hall. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be certified as an entry-level firefighter and can apply to BC and Alberta fire departments.
You can start this program in September or in March.
