The Nation Rebuilding Certificate program is geared toward adult Aboriginal learners from a variety of backgrounds. The program, offered through distance delivery, prepares students to work in First Nations communities and intergovernmental environments, as leaders, managers, staff, and consultants.quote on the importance of planning in effective governance of First Nations

The program will focus on two main themes:

  1. The "Why" of Indigenous Government planning
    Courses in the first semester focus on developing basic skills and knowledge in governance and government, leadership, decision-making, strategy, values and planning.
     
  2. The "How" of Indigenous Government planning
    In the second module, students have the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge and to explore specific topics in governance building.

This unique program celebrates the diverse skills and knowledge of its students, by encouraging them to share their experiences with classmates, enhancing the learning environment. Students will explore how course concepts and principles in governance also apply to their personal lives.
