About the Instructor

Janet Ready, MA, BA, CD, holds a Masters Degree in Leisure Studies, a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communications, and a Tourism and Marketing Management Diploma from BCIT.  Janet has been an instructor at Langara College in Vancouver for the past 5 years teaching event planning and leadership in the Recreation Leadership Diploma and Bachelor of Recreation Management Degree. 

Prior to teaching, she worked in municipal recreation with the City of Burnaby for 10 years in various roles including  program coordinator.   Within the field of recreation, Janet specialized in event planning both working from a community development model and direct planning with partners to create fairs, festivals and special events.
