Peak TESOL Program History

The Peak TESOL program was co-developed by Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 and the College of the Rockies, Kimberley Campus.  College of the Rockies has run an English Language Training program since 1985 and Rocky Mountain School District No. 6 has been teaching ESL to international students since 1987.  The interest and experience of key local faculty from the college and school district combined with a local interest within regional school districts and the community fuelled the development of the Peak TESOL program.  The face-to-face course has been offered since 2007 and the online course will be launched in the fall of 2011.
