You can order your online textbooks directly from the Bookstore.

Education Advising

To reach your educational goals, you may be taking a few courses at College of the Rockies or many courses at a number of institutions. Our Education Advisors will discuss your options with you and help you determine your educational path, including:

  • determining your program of choice
  • determining your home institution
  • applying as a student at your home institution
  • registering in classes
  • applying and registering at other institutions as needed

Subscription-only online resources:
As an online student at College of the Rockies, you can access many special and subscription-only online resources. Go to the library website (http://library.cotr.bc.ca/) to access these resources:

  • E-books
  • Online videos
  • Electronic magazines and newspapers
  • Online academic journals
  • Oxford English Dictionary (OED) online
  • Statistics Canada and BC Stats
  • Research guides

To enable you to access subscription-only services, you will need to login using your college network/COTR Online username and password.

You can continue to access these services (following setup) during your entire stay as an online student at College of the Rockies.

Virtual Chat Library Assistance:
You may also contact the AskAway Virtual Chat Reference Service.  AskAway serves students, faculty and staff at all publicly-funded, post-secondary institutions in British Columbia.  Hours of availability are posted on the library website.

You will find an AskAway Virtual Chat Reference Window on the library website. You can chat with a Librarian for course-related research help on almost any topic – from anthropology to zoology.  Just type your question into the chat window and someone will be there to help you.
