College can be a challenging time for students. They are  faced with a wide variety of personal and academic stressors that can be difficult to navigate. Our counselling and wellness services are here to support you and provide you with a safe place to freely discuss your difficulties. Students over the years have benefited from talking openly about personal and educational concerns in a confidential and supportive environment. Our goal is to help you develop tools to manage your stressors and challenges so you can become successful in both school and life.

We’re here to help you with any problem that may be causing you distress – whether it is a recent challenge or a long-standing issue. Counselling may be beneficial to you if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Unwanted feelings or habits

  • Career exploration and course fit
  • Anxiety and fears
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Substance misuse
  • Stress
  • Sexual concerns

When necessary we will refer you to the appropriate services in the community.

There is no cost for counselling services at College of the Rockies.


All registered students at College of the Rockies are eligible for counselling sessions. Referrals are not required so give us a call or drop by Student Services to make your appointment.


Confidentiality is very important us. The information you share with our counsellor is confidential. There are a few exceptions involving legal matters or serious risk to health and safety. The exceptions will be discussed at the beginning of your session. You can speak with your counsellor about any topics you may have concerning confidentiality.
