Child, Youth and Family Studies

 The Child, Youth and Family Studies (CYFS) department offers programs for individuals interested in certificates and diplomas in:

  • Early childhood education
  • Family child care
  • Human service work
  • Educational assistance

In most cases, you may choose to take your courses online or in the classroom, and study full-time, or part-time.

Alternative Program Options:

  • Students completing  5 diploma level courses without completion of a certificate, may receive a Citation Certificate.
     
  • Students interested in registering for courses without admission into the certificates or diplomas must receive permission from the course instructor.

Transfer Options:

  • CYFS programs share a number of courses to allow for transferability between certificates. This gives you the opportunity to complete more than one certificate quickly, easily and without course duplication.
