A nine-month program of outdoor skills and experiential education in the Rocky Mountains of Fernie, BC. Training in avalanche safety, rock climbing, mountaineering, white water rafting, back country skiing as well as university credits towards a possible degree in Adventure Tourism.

The best way to experience the majesty of the Canadian Rockies is to get right out into the action, and this is the place to do it! With our experienced guides and instructors you'll safely learn skills that will help you truly experience the Rocky Mountain adventure lifestyle.

You can choose from three different adventures, with three different focuses, ranging over three seasons.

These 6 and 7 week courses focus on putting what you have learned to practice, with several day  and extended trips in each adventure. 

Haul Truck Operator Program 

This 4 week program offers an introduction to safe and efficient operation of a haul truck in a surface mining or oil sands site. Haul Truck operators are in demand in most mines across Canada as well as the Alberta oil sands and is the common entry-level job in a mine site. The program includes simulators for both Komatsu and Caterpillar haul trucks most commonly used in large surface pit operations in Canada.
