Our 24 week pre-apprenticeship program prepares you for entry level employment for four different trades including:

  • Steamfitter/Pipefitter;
  • Plumber
  • Sprinkler System Installer
  • Domestic /Commercial Gasfitter B

Receive the theory and practical hands-on experience you need from our 24 week Piping Foundation program.

The 24-week pre-apprenticeship foundation program is designed to help you to get the knowledge and skills you need to be prepared for employment in the piping trades. We combine classroom theory and work-based training to give you hands-on experience assembling, fabricating, maintaining and repairing piping systems.

Our program prepares you for work in a wide variety of industries including pipeline construction, gas plants, pulp mills and oil refineries. This program enables those seeking apprenticeships to market themselves to future employers.

Upon successful completion of the 24 week Piping  Foundation (pre-apprenticeship) program, students receive:

Level 1 Technical Training credit from the Industry Training Authority (ITA) for

  • Steamfitter/Pipefitter
  • Plumber
  • Sprinkler System Installer
  • Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter B

And the following Work-Based Training hours:

  • 375 Work-based Training hours for Steamfitter/Pipefitter
  • 375 Work-Based Training hours for Plumber
  • 375 Work-Based Training hours for Sprinkler System Installer
  • 180 Work-based Training hours for Domestic/Commercial Gasfitter B
