College of the Rockies' Partnership Provides Funds for Research Project
College of the Rockies and the Columbia Basin Rural Development Institute (RDI) at Selkirk College have formed the RDI-College of the Rockies Applied Research Internship. The internship will provide support for a COTR student to undertake a community-based research project in the East Kootenay Region.
Dynamic Innovator Bringing Genomics to Cranbrook
Genome British Columbia is taking our community engagement program, “Bringing Genomics Home” on the road to Cranbrook for the fourth year in a row. “Engineering genomics” is a lively and engaging presentation about the interplay of technology and life sciences by Dr. Robin Coope with a special video introduction by Dr. Jennifer Gardy, a national figure in science communication. Community members are welcome to join him at College of the Rockies for a conversation about genomics and how we can use DNA sequencing to solve all sorts of mysteries – including how a disease outbreak happens.
Annual Career and Job Fair Set for March 12
The eighth annual Career and Job Fair is shaping up to be another great event. Representatives from local and national companies, government agencies and professional associations have confirmed their attendance from 1 to 5 pm on Wednesday, March 12 at College of the Rockies Cranbrook Main Campus.
