Wild about the Queen
The 2009/10 class of Wild About Hair held their annual ‘Queen Competition’ at the College of the Rockies Cranbrook main campus on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Students were required to style their mannequin or ‘Judy’ heads in the roller-set style of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
After completing their style, the students displayed their interpretation of the royal coiffure and waited patiently as COTR staff and students voted for their favourite contestant.
The winners were: (front row from left to right) Jenny Irvine (3rd) contestant #8; Charlene Stroud (3rd) contestant #7; Lindsay Groleau (3rd) contestant #10; Jen Pommier (1st) contestant #6; and Brittany Bidochka (2nd) contestant #9.
Wild About Hair is a partnership program between College of the Rockies, School District #5 and the Industry Training Authority of BC that operates a hairstyling training school located in the Mount Baker Annex at #45 -17th Ave. S.
