Fantasy Hairstyles at College

The College of the Rockies Hairstyling program, Wild About Hair, held their annual Fantasy competition at the Cranbrook Main Campus, Thursday, Oct. 29.

Fantasy hairstyling is a unique part of the hairstyling world. Used in film, special effects, and hair competition culture, Fantasy requires clever creativity and the ability to trick the eye.

Students and staff were given the chance to vote for their favorite Fantasy look. This year's winners were: First, 'Under the Sea', contestant #6, Sarah Savarie; second, 'Paradise Peacock, contestant #1, Jen Pommier; third, 'Mount St. Judy Volcano', contestant #14, Melissa Pesce.

Wild About Hair is a partnership program between College of the Rockies, School District #5 and the Industry Training Authority.
