College Open House Nov. 24

Get answers to your questions about post-secondary education at College of the Rockies, or another institution, at a free drop-in Open House on Tuesday, Nov. 24. COTR staff will be available to help guide you through the post-secondary education process any time from 3 to 6 pm in the Cafeteria at the Cranbrook Main Campus.

Find out how to apply for a student loan, ways to finance your education or apply for a scholarship or award from the Financial Aid and Awards Officer. Talk to an Education Advisor about course selection, prerequisites and university transfer options. The Learning Support Coordinator will be on hand to answer your questions as well.

Chat with the Career and Employment Officer about current as well as future opportunities in the field of your choice. Extra-curricular activities, campus life, and Avalanche athletics will all be covered by the Athletics and Recreation staff.

Don't know what you want to take? There will be instructors from all program areas available to advise you on career choices and program information, and where you can go from here. The Admissions and Registration staff will be glad to help you fill out an application form for the January or September semesters.

The Open House will be of assistance and interest to Grade 11 and 12 students, parents, current and prospective post-secondary students, employees, employers and people of all ages wanting more information about upgrading and career path opportunities.

The process of applying, registering and receiving education counselling at College of the Rockies is made as simple and seamless as possible with professional, helpful and friendly staff who have one goal in mind, student success. Bring your questions and come and find out for yourself on November 24. Light refreshments will be served.
