Reigniting the Fire - Daniela Carizzoni Norton was born to work in the hospitality industry. Growing up in a family-run hotel in Switzerland, she was waiting tables by the time she was five years old.

A Unique Path - Joyce Turner’s interest in the healthcare field stemmed from her mother, who worked as an RN. In 2001, Joyce enrolled in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at College of the Rockies.

Putting His Passion to Work - Mike Robinson, like many Kootenay kids, spent a lot of his childhood enjoying the outdoors. As a result, he developed a keen interest in the diversity of plants, animals and ecosystems in the area.

A Sustainable Career - Michael Savarie grew up in Cranbrook and was always interested in attending College of the Rockies. The location, cost and smaller class sizes helped to cement his decision to choose the College to begin his education.

Never Too Late to Learn - Christie Dueck and her husband moved to Cranbrook in 1999. Christie had amassed 25 years of clerical and administrative positions but decided the timing was perfect for her to add a formal education to her years of experience.

A Place To Find Herself - Christie Kennedy grew up in Kimberley, BC. Unsure of what she wanted to do after high school, she enrolled at College of the Rockies.

Healing Naturally - Laura Young always had an interest in gardening. When she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia she found she was unable to tolerate traditional medication so wanted to learn how to properly grow her own, natural medicines.

College Experience Leads To International Opportunities - Jasmine Osiowy has a lot of great memories of her experience as a College of the Rockies University Studies student. "The atmosphere was friendly and personable, and there were many opportunities to get involved with a variety of activities," she said.
