HIST 222 carries on the introduction to the historical development of the United States. It builds upon the “facts” of American history, presenting how historians interpret the signpost events, key individuals, and significant places of the United States. Through an examination of such interpretations, as well as other historiographical factors, students should come to a greater understanding of the forces shaping the American nation.
