This course is designed for students wishing to undertake a substantial project, under the supervision of a faculty member, in the study of the French language and culture. Topic areas may include French and the media, teaching practices for French as a second language, practice in translation and French literature, popular culture, socio-culture aspects, socio-political aspects, linguistics, etc. This course is intended for students with strong oral and writing skills in French.
Prerequisites: Students must be able to demonstrate a strong comprehension of the French language, including an intermediate level in writing and speaking skills. A minimum of French 12 or FREN 112 is required, or permission from the instructor.
