Description:
This course examines the relationship between tourism and the economy, the environment and society. It introduces the concept of sustainable tourism including tourism impacts, community-based tourism, triple bottom line, resilience, stewardship and strategies to maximize the benefits and minimize the impacts to ecosystems, communities and visitors.

Prerequisites: ENGL 100 and TOUR 111 with a minimum grade of C- (55%)
