All students that apply to the College are required to pay the $30 application fee. The application fee for international students is $100. Trades Apprenticeship students who are new to the College pay a one-time application fee per trade.
|Student Association Fee:|
For credit based courses there is an $11.50 student association fee for each course. The maximum student associate fee is 3 courses per semester for a total of $34.50. Some programs (Trades, Vocational & Health) are charged based on number of weeks they are in session. For these programs the student association fee is $2.30 per week of study (an 8 week program is charged $2.30 x 8 weeks = $18.40 fee).
|Bus Pass Fee:|
Students that are enrolled in full time studies at College of the Rockies pay a bus pass fee for unlimited access to public transit in the Cranbrook area. This fee only applies to students enrolled in an On-campus program at the Cranbrook and Gold Creek campus (online students are not required to pay bus pass fees).
Courses that have a lab component require an additional fee. Lab fees are $24.82 per course credit to a maximum of 3 credits or $74.46.
|Health and Dental Fee:|
An annual fee of $225 for the Health & Dental Plan is charged to students registered in the Fall Term in nine or more face-to-face (in-class) credits/hours or enrolled in full-time programs lasting for at least nine weeks of study. This plan provides you with extended health and dental coverage for some of those services not covered by the BC MSP and other health-care programs.

The Business Management certificate prepares students for employment in accounting, marketing, financial services, hospitality, local governance and other management training positions in a variety of organizations including corporations, small businesses, non-profits and local government.
The Business Management certificate is awarded on successful completion of the first year coursework in the accounting, management, marketing, or Aboriginal Financial Management diploma programs. Courses are scheduled to permit study in a variety of ways: part-time or full-time, with online or traditional classroom delivery.
College of the Rockies Certificate graduates can directly enter the Bachelor of Business Administration degree program with full credit for their previous coursework. Or they can continue their education elsewhere, working towards university degrees and professional certifications and designations such as the ACAF (Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Finance), CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant), and CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources).
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum of 65% in English 12 or equivalent (refer to Course Equivalency Information on the College website)
- For students for whom English is a second language, students must meet the Grade 12 English equivalency posted on COTR's Admissions and Registration website; or successful completion of a university/college level English course (e.g. ENGL 100)
- Minimum grade of 65% in either Foundation of Math 11, Pre-Calculus 11, Principles of Math 11, Applications of Math 12, or MATH 080 or MATH 082.
Students may commence certain courses in the program while they upgrade.
Certificate and diploma students are required to maintain a minimum course grade of C- (55%) in all program courses. BBA students are required to maintain a minimum course grade of C (60%) and an average course grade of C+ in all program courses that contribute to the BBA.

Many of our programs and courses allow you to transfer to other colleges and universities in Canada. You can also apply to get transfer credits from past courses that will go towards completing your program here at College of the Rockies.

Program Transfer Opportunities
We have setup block transfer agreements with other colleges and universities to help you continue your studies once you have completed your program. If we don't have a transfer agreement for your program you can usually transfer your individual courses to another college or university in Canada.
