Information about Student Employment Services

Our College
The College of the Rockies' main campus is located in the south-eastern corner of British Columbia in the city of Cranbrook. COTR has satellite campuses in Creston, Fernie, Sparwood, Golden, Invermere, and Kimberley.  The college has over 1,500 full-time and 2,500 part-time registered students enrolled in a diverse number of program and course offerings.

Students from the College of the Rockies understand the value of work experience to help enhance their career plans. Students are professionally trained and motivated individuals who will prove themselves assets to any organization.

Our Purpose
Student Employment Services is here to assist you with your hiring needs.  Working with employers we are able to help match students to relevant work experience opportunities.  As result we can save you time by ensuring quality and motivated students are aware of the employment opportunities you have available.

Whether you wish to recruit a graduate with special skills or hire a student for summer or part-time employment, we are here to help you meet the students or graduates you are looking for.

Our Services
Our FREE services include:

Posting employment opportunities targeted to College of the Rockies students on your behalf, both on our physical job boards, and our online job board found on our Student Employment Service's Website.

You may post your position by contacting Student Employment Services by phone, mail, fax, e-mail or by filling out the online job posting form (click here: Job Posting Form). 

Collecting and forwarding applications and resumes for your organization.

If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We value your interest in recruiting students from the College of the Rockies and look forward to assisting you with any of your recruitment needs.

Work Placement and Practicum Students 
The Student Employment Services promotes employment opportunities to all students. However, if you are interested in targeting your recruitment to work placement and practicum candidates, please contact the Career and Placement Officer at (250) 489-2751, extension 3441.
