Youth Worker – Aboriginal Education

School District 43 (Coquitlam) invites applications for the position of Aboriginal Youth Worker. Duties include implementing and promoting individualized and/or group programs in First Nations studies under the direction of the teacher.

Qualifications will include the completion of a two-year post secondary education diploma in child/youth care from a recognized college/institution or completion of two years of university course work in Psychology or Sociology. A thorough knowledge of First Nations cultures, traditions and values demonstrated through aboriginal ancestry. “The successful applicant will be a person of Aboriginal ancestry in accordance with an approved special program under Section 42(3) of the British Columbia Human Rights Code.”


We offer $26.16.hour (37.5 hours a week) and generous benefits package. (For permanent position)
