Degree Transfer Options

Students graduating from the College of the Rockies with a Tourism and Recreation Management Diploma have the option of moving into a degree program at various institutions across BC and Canada.

We have many excellent articulation arrangements. A majority of COTR graduates who want to pursue a degree choose one of the following:

College of the Rockies (Bachelor of Business Administration in Sustainable Business practices) COTR TRMP Diploma students receive a full 2 year block transfer

Vancouver Island University (Bachelor of Tourism Management; Major Recreation)
COTR TRMP Diploma students receive a full 2 year block transfer

Capilano University (Bachelor of Tourism Management)
COTR TRMP Diploma students receive a full 2 year block transfer

Thompson Rivers University - (Bachelor of Tourism Management)
COTR TRMP Diploma students are transferred on a course by course basis and enter 3rd year with some additional course work required.

Royal Roads University (BA  International Hotel Management & B.Comm. Entrepreneurial Management).  COTR TRMP Diploma students receive a full 2 year block transfer

University of Northern British Columbia (BA Nature-based Tourism Management). COTR TRMP Diploma students receive a full 2 year block transfer

Langara College (Bachelor of Recreation Management). COTR TRMP graduates will be accepted into year 3 of the BRM program.

There are numerous other possibilities. In addition COTR is working on arrangements with International Tourism Degree programs. Please contact our Education Advisors for more details on transferring to degree programs.
