Backcountry Trip Planning and Navigation | $39 + GST

Course Overview:

In this session we will introduce topographical maps and how to read them, discuss basic compass skills and talk about route planning and navigation. We will look at weather forecast websites to help get accurate forecasts and discuss an emergency plan. We will review what equipment you will need to have a great trip!

Requirements:

Course is open for everyone to register and enjoy. It is a prerequisite for participating in the Backcountry Field Trip. Contact the College 250 342-3210 or email invermere@cotr.bc.ca for more details.
